“If a child cannot learn the way he is taught, one needs to teach him the way he can learn.” This very statement is the essence of remedial education. It focuses upon children having issues such as learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia), cognitive issues such as poor memory, problems in logical understanding and reasoning, perception and concentration problems etc. Remedial education focuses on helping a child learn the necessary skills to perform in academics and gradually coming at par with his peer groups.

Remedial education involves psychoeducational assessment, Individualized Educational Plan (IEPs), and individual or small group i.e. 2-3 children in a group, sessions. Regular review meetings are held with parents and school teachers to track the child’ progress.
