Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Counselors help clients identify goals and important solutions to problems which cause disorder; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and most favorable mental health. It helps a person to understand his strengths and address the problem he/she is facing.
